The Cyprus Community of South Australia, in collaboration with SEKA SA (Justice for Cyprus Committee), invites you to attend two significant memorial events marking the 51st anniversary of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus.
Last year's 50th anniversary saw our community come together in solemn remembrance, with events that underscored our collective commitment to justice and the reunification of Cyprus. As reported by The Greek Herald, the commemorations included a memorial service at Saint George Greek Orthodox Church, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the National War Memorial in Adelaide, and a peaceful demonstration to the steps of the South Australian Parliament.
This year, we continue to honour the memory of those affected by the events of 1974 and reaffirm our dedication to a peaceful and unified Cyprus.
These events are open to all who wish to honour the legacy of Cyprus’s past and support its future.
